Join a dynamic, forward-thinking manufacturing and deep rooted bespoke construction and residential building team delivering high-quality steel frame modular homes.
As Technical Operations Manager - Steel Frame Construction, you’ll take the lead on the technical and administrative operations at our high-output facility south Perth metro. Overseeing a team across estimating, detailing, scheduling, admin, and customer service, you’ll ensure every frame leaves the facility with accuracy, speed, and compliance.
This is a hands-on leadership role where continuous improvement, team performance, and cross-functional collaboration are key. You’ll help shape production outcomes while supporting innovation, Lean practices, and process optimisation to meet the growing demands of residential construction.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and coach a multidisciplinary team, driving performance against KPIs and fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
- Manage all technical operations including estimating, detailing, and scheduling to ensure alignment with construction timelines and standards.
- Collaborate with internal construction teams and external contractors to ensure seamless delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Champion safe work practices, compliance with regulations, and proactive risk management.
- Drive Lean initiatives, support new product development, and optimise systems for better throughput and cost-efficiency.
What You Bring
- Proven leadership in technical production, estimating, or detailing within residential or modular construction.
- Strong understanding of Australian Standards, steel frame methods, and residential building processes.
- Experience managing diverse teams in high-output, deadline-driven environments.
- Excellent planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to health, safety, and compliance best practices.
- Knowledge of Lean or continuous improvement methods is highly valued.
