Electrical Engineer

Our client is a long-established Southwest based manufacturer of various timber products. As a result of this ongoing growth, they are seeking to add an Electrical Engineer to their team. The plant combines multiple fixed plant machinery such as conveyors, belts and other materials handling and cutting equipment.

This role will be based in a town in the Southwest region of Western Australia, Bunbury. Approximately 180kms south of Perth and only 15kms southeast of Bunbury, it's known for its agricultural history, wineries, microbreweries, and proximity (15 – 20 minutes) to port city, Bunbury.

What will this position entail?
This position will see you responsible for overseeing all electrical systems of our clients operating plant.

Additional job duties will include:

• Ensuring best practice design and installation for the electrical systems and equipment.
• Investigating any safety hazards and mitigating potential risks through improvement strategies.
• Troubleshooting any plant process, design and electrical hardware problems to achieve planned project work.
• Liaising with team members, electricians, internal customers, vendors and suppliers to identify problems and implement solutions that adhere to company compliance.
• Commissioning new equipment where required.

How can I be successful?

• Electrical Engineering degree.
• 5 years + experience within manufacturing or similar industrial environment.
• Ability to pass a full medical and drug and alcohol test.
• Full Australian working rights and valid current driver’s licence.
