We’re looking for an experienced and driven Head Chef for our Family owned and operated Pub. Located in Wundowie on the Great Eastern Highway, we are a community-oriented pub serving delicious food and drinks in a friendly environment, perfect for families, locals, and anyone looking to enjoy a great pub experience.

We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding customer service and experience, aiming to always exceed our customers' expectations.

With a focus on elevating traditional pub food and creating seasonal dishes.

What you'll be doing

• Menu creation and delivery, kitchen preparation, staff management and kitchen administration.
• Work with Manager to develop new hotel menu, daily specials, function packages, deliver seasonal food experiences and other marketing initiatives.
• Monitoring all dishes for quality, presentation, and portion control.
• Stock control and controlling food preparation and managing wastage for your section.
• Ordering and receiving.
• Maintaining a clean operation in accordance with food safety compliance.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Chef in a high-volume, pub or bistro.
• A passion for delivering high-quality food and creativity.
• Amazing people skills with the ability to engage and develop a positive team.
• Availability to work the a roster which includes weekends a lunch/dinner split shifts.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Trade Industry Qualifications in Commercial Cookery.
• Food Safety Supervisor certificate.
