Estimating Manager – Commercial Fit-Out & Refurbishment (Remote)

Are you an experienced Estimating Manager looking to take ownership of the full tendering process from anywhere in Australia? This fully remote opportunity offers a leadership role within a respected commercial contractor, delivering high-end fit-out and refurbishment projects across multiple sectors.
In this role, you'll drive pricing strategies, manage end-to-end bids, and work closely with stakeholders to deliver commercially sound, competitive tenders that align with project goals. You'll be the go-to person for everything estimating—leading a skilled team, improving processes, and helping secure some of the most exciting projects in the industry.

What You'll Be Doing: Stakeholder Management

• Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams
• Deliver timely, accurate estimates that reflect both the brief and strategic project goals
• Spot opportunities for value engineering and foster long-term partnerships

Bid & Tender Leadership

• Oversee the entire bid process, coordinating with senior leaders and technical teams
• Lead pre-tender and post-tender communications, including tender interviews and presentations
• Provide comprehensive project briefings to operational teams to ensure a smooth handover

Estimating Expertise

• Prepare competitive and detailed cost plans and BOQs based on full project documentation
• Source and negotiate supplier and subcontractor pricing, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to develop clear, data-driven estimates

Team & Process Leadership

• Mentor junior estimators and drive collaboration across departments
• Lead by example with attention to detail, accountability, and results
• Promote a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement in all estimating functions

What We’re Looking For:

• 3–5 years’ experience in an Estimating Manager or Senior Estimator role within commercial construction
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously with accuracy and strategic insight
• Strong negotiation ability and commercial awareness
• Safety-first mindset with a structured approach to risk management
