Casual Duty Manager
Kawana Waters Surf Life Saving Club

Kawana Waters Surf Life Saving Club is seeking an experienced Casual Duty Manager to join our dynamic team.

In this hands-on leadership role, you will work closely with other Duty Managers and the Club Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of the Club across all departments. Reporting directly to the Club Manager, you will oversee shift management, uphold liquor licensing compliance, supervise staff, and ensure a high level of customer service and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise staff and manage Club operations during rostered shifts

Maintain compliance with Liquor Licensing requirements

Support and implement Club-wide promotions and service strategies

Serve customers across all departments – bar, bistro, gaming, TAB, and functions

Troubleshoot operational issues and escalate where required

What We’re Looking For:

Previous management experience in hospitality with a hands-on leadership style

Proven ability to motivate and lead a team to deliver outstanding service

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Experience across all areas of a hospitality venue – bar, bistro, gaming, functions, TAB and Keno

Sound knowledge of the Liquor Act and its application in a licensed venue

Great customer service focus and a proactive approach to venue promotions

Mandatory Qualifications:

Current RSA and RSG

RMLV Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

Approved Manager’s Licence (or willingness to obtain)

Additional Details:

Availability to work nights, weekends, and public holidays as part of a rotating roster

Flexibility with shifts to suit the right candidate

Police check required prior to commencement
