As a Kitchen Hand/Retail Assistant, you will play an integral role in supporting our kitchen staff with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring that our retail area is well-organised and welcoming. Your contributions will help us deliver top-notch service and quality food to our customers, all while working alongside a team of passionate individuals who share your love for food and great service.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation and presentation according to established standards

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and food preparation areas

• Help with serving food and beverages to customers in a friendly manner

• Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels in the retail area

• Ensure that utensils, dishes and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitised

• Assist customers with enquiries and provide excellent customer service

• Support the kitchen team with any additional tasks as needed

Requirements

• Previous experience in a kitchen or retail environment is preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays

• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices

• Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude

• Ability to work well as part of a team and independently as required
