Business Development Manager – High-Value Equipment Sales
$120–130K + Super + FMV + Tools of Trade
Location : Melbourne WFH + Macedon Ranges 1–2 Days/Week

Join a leading manufacturer of custom-built transport solutions, known for engineering excellence and long-standing relationships across the agriculture, transport, and logistics industries.
You’ll work closely with a talented technical and sales team while owning your territory and shaping your success.
Role Overview
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this Business Development Manager role is responsible for leading business development and managing key accounts across Victoria, South Australia, and Tasmania.
This is a senior, individual-contributor role for someone who thrives on hunting, nurturing, and closing — taking ownership of both new and existing client relationships.
You’ll spend most of your time out in the market, with regular visits to the head office in the Macedon Ranges (1–2 days/week) to collaborate with your colleagues.
Key Weekly Schedule
1–2 Days/Week: Macedon Ranges for collaboration and alignment with sales & technical teams
Remaining Days: On the road building customer relationships and market presence across VIC, SA, and TAS
What You’ll Bring
✅ Demonstrated ability to engage and influence commercial and government decision-makers
✅ Experience winning new clients in high-value equipment or capital sales
✅ Clear examples of how you map a market, build genuine relationships, and develop trusted advisor status
✅ Proven ability to close deals and maintain a strong, qualified pipeline
✅ Commercial acumen, including contract negotiation and presentation skills
✅ CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot or similar) pipeline and forecasting discipline
✅ Willingness to travel extensively across VIC, SA, and TAS and attend trade shows and industry events
✅ Reside within commuting distance of Macedon Ranges for regular in-office collaboration
Key Responsibilities
Drive new business acquisition and grow existing key accounts
Lead the entire sales process: lead gen, tendering, negotiation, and closing
Conduct high-impact meetings to build long-term customer trust
Deliver tailored proposals and presentations
Bring back market intelligence and customer insights to drive innovation
Represent the company at field days, trade shows, and industry events
Report regularly on sales performance, pipeline, and regional trends
Collaborate across Design, Production, and Admin to deliver seamless customer outcomes
