About the Role:

If you have a passion for specialty coffee and an obsession with pouring the perfect cup, we want you on our team! We’re looking for part-time baristas with a minimum of 2 years of experience working with specialty coffee. You’ll be the face of Hendrix, providing excellent customer service while crafting outstanding coffee and alternative beverages. We’re after someone who understands the nuances of great coffee, values quality, and can work with the team to keep the cafe buzzing and customers coming back for more.

What You Bring:

• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a specialty coffee environment.
• Barista Skills: Deep knowledge of coffee beans, espresso preparation, and latte art, focusing on quality.
• Customer Service: Excellent communication skills and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere and provide an exceptional customer service experience. The successful candidate must have experience operating a till system.
• Team Player: Able to collaborate and contribute to a positive work culture.
• Passion: A genuine love for coffee and the craft of making the perfect cup.
• Efficiency: Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards and a positive attitude.
• Attention to Detail: Consistently produce top-quality coffee, paying close attention to every detail.
• Adaptability: Flexibility to assist with other tasks in the cafe as needed, from operating the till to cleaning.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Prepare high-quality beverages
• Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming environment for all customers.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the coffee station and cafe.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including stock management.
• Educate customers about different coffee varieties and menu offerings.
• Work collaboratively with the team to keep the flow of service smooth and efficient.
• Keep the coffee machines and equipment in top working condition through regular cleaning and maintenance.
• Help with the preparation and service of simple food offerings as needed.
