About the Role:
My client is seeking an energetic and commercially focused Head of Sales – NSW/ACT to lead and execute the sales strategy across these key states. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a critical senior leadership role within the business, responsible for performance across the foodservice and hospitality channel — including aged care, healthcare, HORECA, and other sub-channels.
This is a unique opportunity for a strategic thinker who can also lead from the front — driving new business, strengthening major customer partnerships, and coaching a high-performing team.
About the Business
My client is a market leader in the Australian foodservice industry and part of a major global group that dominates the sector across Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. With strong local capability and international backing, the business is well-positioned for sustained growth and continued category leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of 3 Sales Managers, each with their own field sales teams across NSW and ACT.
- Own and execute the sales strategy for both states, aligned with national objectives.
- Build and manage Joint Business Plans with the region’s largest and most strategic foodservice and hospitality customers.
- Actively support the team in the field, engaging directly with major accounts and being hands-on in driving results.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across all relevant sub-channels including HORECA, aged care, and healthcare.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and supply chain to ensure seamless customer delivery and commercial success.
- Report directly to the Managing Director and contribute to the broader leadership agenda.
About You
- Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role within the foodservice, hospitality or FMCG sectors, ideally with exposure to HORECA, aged care or healthcare sub-channels.
- Demonstrated success in leading sales teams and developing high-performing leaders.
- Strong strategic acumen combined with a hands-on, lead-from-the-front approach.
- Deep understanding of the NSW and ACT foodservice landscape and major accounts.
- Confident in driving growth through strategic account management, tenders, and new business development.
- Energetic, adaptable, and commercially driven with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
