Retail Sales & Operations Champion – Sports & Apparel Industry

This isn’t your average sales gig. This is a hybrid role that combines retail floor excellence with inventory management and operational leadership. We are looking for a champion to take our company to the next level.

Alliance MMA Australia is the parent company to Australia’s #1 Combat Sports Retailer – MMA Fight Store, and leading Distributor – EVERYTHINGMMA. We supply elite-level fight gear, apparel, and equipment across Australia and beyond. We are growing, evolving, and dominating the combat sports space – and now, we want you in our corner.

We’re looking for a Sales & Operations Champion — whilst you do not need combat sports experience, preference will be given to someone who has a passion for combat sports, working in similar businesses, knows how to move product, run a tight ship, and deliver knockout service every time.

You’ll work across both our retail and distribution divisions, meaning one day you could be fitting a customer for gloves, and the next, working with the team in warehouse inventory or liaising with our international suppliers. It’s fast-paced, varied, and made for someone who thrives in a dynamic, physical, and mentally rewarding environment.

🧢 Key Responsibilities

Retail & Customer Service

Deliver elite customer service to walk-in, phone and online customers

Provide product advice and support to combat sports athletes and enthusiasts

Drive retail sales and visual merchandising standards

Manage POS, invoicing, and administrative paperwork

Roster and supervise warehouse staff to ensure efficient operations

Operations & Distribution

Assist the Warehouse Manager when required:

to oversee inventory control and stock management across warehouse and retail

order fulfillment, packing and dispatching procedures

inbound/outbound order logistics

Contribute to purchasing decisions and budgeting

Sales Growth & Strategy

Manage and maintain strong B2B relationships with gyms, retailers and athletes

Assist and Execute social media content and brand marketing strategies

Help research and explore new market opportunities

Liaise with global suppliers and maintain strong supplier rapport

🥋 Who We're Looking For

You’re a people person. You’re also operationally savvy. You’ve probably wrapped your hands more than once and you know a Thai pad from a focus mitt. Most importantly, you take pride in keeping things running smoothly, whether it’s stock on the shelves or pallets in the warehouse.

Must-Have Criteria

Passion or strong knowledge of Combat Sports (MMA, Boxing, Muay Thai, BJJ, etc)

Solid experience in retail sales

Working understanding of inventory management

Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)

Attention to detail and high organisational ability

Comfortable leading small teams and giving direction

Confident in using computer systems, POS, and basic software tools

A fast learner who thrives under pressure

Professional presentation and reliability

Valid Driver’s Licence

Highly Regarded

Previous e-commerce or Shopify platform experience

Social media content creation/management skills

Experience working in retail, distribution, wholesale or B2B accounts

Connections within the combat sports or fitness industry
