An established resort, Heron Island accommodates up to nearly 300 guests with the primary draw card being located right on the Great Barrier Reef. There is a marine center, activities center, boutique, award-winning day spa, spacious lounge and bar overlooking the pool plus the expansive Shearwater Restaurant. Marine activities for guests and staff include world-class diving, snorkeling, kayaking and cruises.

Our Shearwater Restaurant is open every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is an expansive hot and cold buffet style of a very high and generous standard. Lunch is a la carte focusing on light to medium meals. Dinner is a variety of multi-selection buffet and a la carte.

We are now specifically seeking applications for an innovative and experienced Restaurant Manager.

What you will bring to the role;

Minimum 5 years-experience working as a Restaurant Manager or equivalent experience in a resort or hospitality environment

Ability to motivate and lead by example.

Excellent time management skills including speed and efficiency

Manage budgets, control costs and optimize revenue through effective pricing, promotion and inventory management.

Manage all Food & Beverage operational aspects in collaboration with your leadership team.

Excellent communication and guest relation skills

Responsible Management of Licensed Premises.

Friendly and flexible disposition that demonstrates a high level of professionalism

Can do attitude who works safely at all times!
