As a trusted regional specialist, you'll drive the planning and execution of work packages that keep transmission networks reliable, safe, and future-ready.

We’re looking for a dynamic Planning Engineer who thrives on variety, loves solving complex challenges, and is comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities. You’ll adapt quickly, respond fast and stay focused.

This isn’t your typical planning role. We’re after someone who’s not just technically sharp, but also brings a broader lens – able to connect the dots between technical requirements, stakeholder needs, and potential risks.

Your Mission

• Deliver key outcomes in safety, reliability, and governance across capital and operational works

• Manage contractor performance to meet divisional and corporate expectations

• Prepare tenders and quotes that align with procurement frameworks

• Develop detailed scopes of work to support efficient project delivery

• Keep transmission asset data sharp, current, and insightful (Ellipse/Electric Office)

• Develop robust business cases to guide investment and planning

• Review and approve internal and external technical designs

What You Bring to the Grid

• Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering, with proven experience in electrical maintenance.

• Skilled in transmission planning, scheduling, and HV substation maintenance.

• Expertise in overhead line management and asset lifecycle planning.

• You’re as comfortable talking with people as you are with data and systems

• Strong budgeting and cost control capabilities.

• Confidence navigating scopes of work, business cases, and technical documentation.

• Adaptability, responsiveness, and enjoy working in an environment where no two days are the same.
