This position is responsible for leading the rowing program, delivering quality coaching, competition, participation and best athlete outcomes.

You will develop, encourage and grow participation and performance outcomes, lead quality skills-based and developmental coaching, promote the sport as enjoyable, facilitate a safe environment, and foster a culture of ethical and respectful sports behaviours.

✅ YOU WILL
Coach and lead rowing activities to develop athletes to achieve best outcomes
Implement effective coaching strategies to develop junior and senior school athletes at varying skill levels
Establish and maintain athlete development plans including performance tracking, individual feedback and goal setting, aligned to long-term athletic development models
Collaborate with Strength and Conditioning Coaches to ensure integration of strength and conditioning training programs
Provide ongoing mentoring and development opportunities for assistant coaches and support staff to ensure alignment and upskilling within the program
Administer rowing competition and regatta registrations and entries
Provide routine assessment, maintenance, documentation of all boats/trailers
Foster strong relationships with the College community and external stakeholders
Proactively manage a risk-averse operation and foster a positive sports culture

Ability to effectively work with students, colleagues and the community

Advanced level coaching qualifications in rowing well regarded
Tertiary human movements qualifications well regarded
Working with Children blue card, First Aid certification and Queensland Driver Licence – Medium Rigid (to drive the College bus)
