In this diverse role, you will maintain the yards and grounds, along with the day-to-day general repair and maintenance activities across a number of commercial sites across Launceston.

As Maintenance Officer, you will be the master of all trades, prepared to take on any maintenance, repair, paint job or improvement challenge that may arise. You possess the ability to spot issues before they escalate (today's leak could become tomorrow's flood!) and you skilfully employ your trade skills to address a diverse range of tasks, ensuring the property remains in impeccable condition.

The successful person will demonstrate:

A proven ability to establish and maintain gardens, lawns, planting, pruning, irrigation and landscaping.

Execute maintenance tasks and preventative maintenance projects as required

Proven ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Adaptability and flexibility including the ability to deal with change.

A high level of organisational and prioritisation skills and an ability to multi-task.

Encounter stimulating challenges that require innovative solutions

A positive attitude and a proactive nature.

Skills and Experience:

Comfortable in a physical role, have a get-up-and-go attitude and be someone who won’t stop until the job is completed in a safe and presentable manner

Able to assist with removal and assemble of furniture, the mounting of TV’s and Monitors and the hanging of picture frames.

Prior experience with practical skills in general building maintenance, including basic carpentry, basic plumbing, patching and painting, no official qualification required.
