People and Culture Manager to join our team.

The People and Culture Manager will provide guidance and support across a suite of workforce strategies and initiatives to foster an engaged, inclusive, resilient and innovative workforce, with the aim of building our staff’s capacity and capability, supporting their wellbeing and ensuring the delivery of CRC’s strategic goals.
In addition to supporting staff in relation to accountability, diversity and inclusion, psychosocial wellbeing and cultural safety, the position will be responsible for facilitating an organisational culture focused on continuous improvement to sustain our workforce in a complex organisational environment.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the CEO, this role includes:

  • Developing and delivering a People and Culture Strategy that reflects principles of diversity, inclusion, and intersectionality to meet the overall business objectives.
  • Supporting current health and wellbeing initiatives and developing new staff wellbeing programs where applicable.
  • Researching and administering regular staff engagement / psychosocial wellbeing surveys and making recommendations to management regarding implementation of recommendations.
  • Contributing to the development of strategy, policy, management processes and organisational capability to enhance cultural safety and accountability across the organisation.
  • Providing advice and support to staff and managers regarding performance, disciplinary processes and all matters relating to workers compensation.
  • Oversight of training and recruitment.

To join us, you’ll need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline and/or equivalent workplace experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role and experience working for a not for profit or community organisation
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing an organisational People and Culture Strategy
  • Sound knowledge of contemporary People and Culture best practice
  • To be approachable, compassionate, self-motivated, and attentive to opportunities for improvement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare policies and procedures and communicate these to employees.
  • Ability to effectively disseminate information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent problem solving, influencing, advisory and negotiation skills and experience managing grievances and other workplace matters.
  • Significant relevant experience in developing and implementing new organisational systems.
  • Strong interest in supporting people, cultural diversity and wellbeing.
  • Strong accountability mindset and a high level of organisational skills
  • Exemplify behaviours that engage, motivate and inspire employees and consistently deliver quality work in the face of challenging situations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to CRC values.
  • Desirable: Experience with the SCHADS Award.
