About the role

An opportunity exists in Medical Imaging at Box Hill for temporary full-time position for a passionate Radiographer. It is a 12-month maternity leave backfill role. The department is looking for enthusiastic Radiographers to become part of the team in a busy, dynamic and friendly Medical Imaging Department at Box Hill. Eastern Health Medical Imaging carries out over 280,000 examinations per year and supports an ED 24/7. The successful applicant will have access to training on a broad range of state-of-the-art equipment.

As with all staff, the role requires participation in a full rotating roster that includes assisting in servicing the needs at Blackburn Public Surgical, Peter James Centre & Wantirna Health. Staff share the responsibilities equally of servicing a busy public hospital that includes weekends, on call, afternoon and night shifts. Consequently, the new public sector EBA is recognised in MIT's grading.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

AHPRA registration and a Victorian radiation license

• You will be willing to work as part of a team or autonomously when required and be able to prioritise workflow effectively under pressure
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
• Ability and drive to make a difference then capitalise on the opportunity
• A willingness to fully participate in a rotating roster
• Personal Attributes should demonstrate a strong sense of customer focus and strive for excellence in patient care along with excellent communication skills

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
