About the Role:

Curtin University has exciting opportunities in Curtin Connect! We are seeking three Curtin Connect Officers to join our team on a:

  • Full-time, permanent contract.
  • Full-time, fixed term contract until December 2025.
  • Part-time (0.8 FTE), permanent contract.

In these roles, you will be the first point of contact for all student enquiries across the student lifecycle. You’ll handle high volumes of enquiries through multiple channels, including face-to-face, phone, live chat, and our customer relationship management system.

These roles have a strong focus on current student engagement, providing support and resources to our diverse student body. To be successful you will require skills in customer service, problem solving and knowledge management, and strong time management.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver high-quality customer service across phone, email and face-to-face interactions by responding to queries and ensuring students and customers receive accurate, consistent and timely advice.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Curtin’s courses, programs, admissions, enrolment processes, fees, scholarships and related student services to provide informed guidance.
  • Accurately record and manage information in the customer relationship management (CRM) and student management systems.
  • Assist students to navigate and manage their own enrolment and class registration through self-service platforms.
  • Record, resolve or escalate student queries in line with established referral processes, ensuring issues are addressed promptly and appropriately.

We are looking for:

  • Experience working in a busy, front-line customer service role, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional client satisfaction.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both collaboratively in a team and independently under general guidance.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently and professionally with people from diverse backgrounds, demonstrating cultural sensitivity.

Role Requirements:

  1. For the continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered
  2. For the fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role
  3. Successful applicants are subject to a National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin’s satisfaction
