Responsibilities

· Drafting working drawings and preparing sketchers

· Consulting and communicating with project managers, owners, architects and local authorities to ensure requirements and goals of project are met.

· Perform technical functions to assist Construction Managers, Architect’s and Surveyors by supervising and inspecting construction sites.

· Managing sub-contractors on sites

· Reading, studying and interpreting engineering and architectural plans.

· Complete projects within time and budgets

· Maintaining quality control measures

· Inspecting work and materials for compliance with specifications, regulations and standards

· Liaise with the drafting team, Engineers and clients.

· Processing tenders

· Preparing and monitoring budget/costs during ongoing projects

· Manage and monitor WHS compliance in the workplace.

· Provide comprehensive reports outlining compliance to structural requirements.

· Reporting to management team

· Co-ordinate and organize daily work and provide guidance and supervision to the team

· Develop solutions for problems of routine complexity and

· Estimating the required materials and labour

Skill Level and Experience Required

· Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Associate Degree, Advanced diploma or Diploma level is required combined with 12 months fulltime work or

· At least three years of full-time work experience is highly relevant and may substitute the formal Qualification.

· Knowledge of the construction and fabrication Industry

· Ability to interpret and study engineering and architectural documentation.

· Experience working in the industry.

· Strong time management skills and communication skills

· Works independently as well as in a team. Excellent communication skills – oral and written.

· Highly motivated with strong compliance and ethical standards

· Knowledge of the Australian Standards and Building Codes and the

· Ability to travel.
