About the role

DEMED ABORIGINAL CORPORATION' is seeking a motivated and experienced General Mechanic or Diesel Fitter to join our team in Gunbalanya, NT. This full-time role will involve maintaining and repairing a range of vehicles and equipment to ensure our operations run smoothly.

What you'll be doing

Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on a variety of vehicles and machinery

Carry out routine servicing and maintenance tasks

Maintain detailed records of all work performed

Provide guidance and support to junior mechanics or apprentices

Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and adheres to safety protocols

What we're looking for

Qualified mechanic or diesel fitter with a minimum of 3 years' experience

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

Current driver's licence and willingness to obtain a heavy vehicle licence
