Opportunity

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join Grande Food Service as a Purchasing Officer. This role is based in Albany and plays a critical part in our administrative and financial operations. This is a part time role (30 hrs / week).

You will work closely with our receivals and finance teams, liaising with various departments to ensure smooth and efficient processes.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and issue purchase orders in line with company policies and procedures.

Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.

Negotiate prices and terms with vendors to secure the best deals within budget.

Track deliveries and manage order timelines to ensure timely receipt of goods and services.

Maintain accurate procurement records and update supplier databases regularly.

Coordinate with internal departments to understand and fulfill purchasing needs efficiently.

Assist with weekly stock takes and stock adjustments

Monitor inventory levels - coordinate with warehouse to prevent shortages or overstocking.

Qualifications & Experience

We are looking for someone who has:

Experience in purchasing / procurement role

Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Google Suite (Excel, Google Drive).

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
