Position: Lead Engineer
Location: Perth, North of the river
Salary: $120,000 - $130,000 + Super + Perks

Position Overview:
OUI Recruitment is seeking an experienced Lead Engineer. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering and consultative expertise, focusing on research and commercialisation of technologies.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Lead research initiatives on infrastructure and cloud products and services

Evaluate emerging technologies and assess commercial viability

Supervise a small team, providing guidance and direction.

Maintain hands-on involvement with cloud infrastructure tools and platforms

Develop go-to-market strategies for new technology solutions across multiple channels

Deliver training programmes on cloud technologies and emerging solutions

Provide consultative expertise on cloud strategy and implementation

Collaborate with sales teams to identify opportunities and technical requirements

Stay current with Microsoft ecosystem developments including M365, Copilot, SharePoint, and AI technologies

Drive innovation initiatives and proof-of-concept projects

Present findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders

Role Requirements:

Proven experience in team leadership and management

Strong background in Managed Service Provider (MSP) environments

Commercially-focused mindset with business development acumen

Proactive approach to identifying opportunities and solutions

Excellent communication and training delivery skills

Solid stakeholder management experience

Consultative approach to engagement and solution development

Minimum of 10 years of experience.

Technical Requirements:

Deep experience with cloud infrastructure, products and services

Passionate about emerging technologies (Microsoft365 / Copilot / AI)

Hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms (Azure)

Still hands-on with a solid technical background (previous Level 3 / escalation point experience)
