Your new company

Hays is the largest supplier of Trades & Labour hire in the Canberra region. We are working with a large civil company in the ACT in need of supplementary labour to aid in the completion of subdivision work in Canberra's north and inner north. This company is a well-known large civil contractor with a fantastic reputation and a solid pipeline of work.

Your new role

In your new role you may be responsible for:

• Site preparation and clean-up
• Materials handling and preparation
• Assisting with trenching and pipelaying
• Assisting with concreting and road patching
• Adhering to safety procedures and project timelines
• Any other aspect of general labouring and site assistance

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this position, you will need to have the following.

• Proven experience in the construction field - civil or commercial
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team efficiently
• Hold a valid white card, asbestos awareness, and silica awareness tickets
• Hold a valid C-class drivers' licence and a reliable vehicle
• Tickets for machine operating (excavators, bobcats, etc) are beneficial, not essential.
