About the role
The ICT Security Manager is a key role responsible for maintaining, and maturing the information security posture for Southern Cross Care.
Reporting to the Group Manager - Business Systems and Technology, the Security Manager will work collaboratively across all business units to champion security initiatives. This role requires a unique blend of hands-on technical expertise and strategic vision. The successful candidate will not only drive the strategy to identify, evaluate, and report on information security risks but will also be central to developing and implementing the solutions to mitigate them.
This is an opportunity to build on a continuously evolving security program to ensure that the organisation meets its complex compliance and regulatory obligations in a dynamic threat landscape. We are looking for a proactive and influential contributor who can embed a robust culture of security awareness and best practice throughout all
levels of the organisation.

About you
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Tertiary qualification, certification and/or accreditation in IT security, computer science, information technology, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of two years' professional experience in IT security or a complementing role.
- Experience developing and maintaining policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.
- Experience utilising ICT security, monitoring and threat detection tools.
- Experience working within a large and complex ICT environment.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills with an approachable demeanour.
- Proven ability to listen and adapt communication style to audience needs (from technical teams to executive leadership).
- Demonstrated ability to train and coach staff to improve their skill levels and security awareness.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and drive the security agenda forward.
- Strong attention to detail, especially in policy, risk assessment, and compliance.
- Knowledge of ICT Security best practices.
- High level proficiency with a wide range of IT environments, applications, networks and devices.
- A basic knowledge of the requirements of the Aged Care Standards as are applicable to the role.
