About the Role:

As the coordinator of the Academic Skills and Knowledge (ASK) Advisors , you will manage this peer casual team and play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional client services to students, staff, and the broader UC community—both online and on campus. This is your opportunity to shape a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in a flagship peer support service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and mentor the ASK Advisor team to deliver high-quality academic support
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
  • Collaborate across Library teams and university stakeholders to enhance service delivery
  • Ensure consistent, high-impact support for both online and on-campus users
  • Oversee rostering, supervision, and day-to-day operations of the ASK Advisor service
  • Manage training programs to ensure staff are equipped to meet evolving needs
  • Engage with stakeholders to deliver a strong, client-focused experience
  • Contribute to the management of the physical collection and promotion of academic resources

What We’re Looking For:

  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
  • Strong background in academic or library support services
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proven ability to drive service innovation and continuous improvement
  • Experience in training, supervision, and rostering
  • Knowledge of collection management practices
  • Eligibility for professional membership with ALIA (Australian Library and Information Association) is essential
