About the Position
The Community Safety team is responsible for education and enforcement of legislation and by-laws relating to dogs, parking, beaches and local reserves.
Day to day duties of a Community Ranger include picking up dogs, investigating service requests, beach and parking patrols. Rangers provide information and advice to the community about responsible dog and cat ownership and may deliver a range of services or specialise in just a few.
About You
We are looking for good communicators who have proven skills in conflict resolution, customer service and the ability to prioritise demanding workloads. Community Rangers must also be able to work flexible hours across seven days, use contemporary task and record management systems and follow relevant procedures. You must have proven time management skills and be of resilient character with the ability to work autonomously.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Proven ability to operate within procedures or working instructions
- Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to demonstrate strong time management skills
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and use of corporate technology.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
- Demonstrated a flexible approach to problem solving, with a focus on continuous improvement
