Located right by the beach, our surf club is a favourite for locals and visitors enjoying casual dining, cold drinks, and friendly service. With stunning views, a relaxed atmosphere, and a busy calendar of functions, we’re looking for an experienced, reliable and energetic Restaurant & Bar Manager to lead the team at our lively coastal venue.

The Role

As the Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the venue, including:

Leading, recruiting and training the front-of-house team

Rostering and shift management using Deputy

Managing stock ordering, deliveries, and inventory

Managing day-to-day operations of the restaurant & bar

Handling bookings and customer service

Ensuring smooth service for walk-ins, bookings & private functions

Coordinating with kitchen staff to maintain flow and quality

Maintaining cleanliness and general upkeep of the restaurant and bar areas

Ensuring RSA and venue health & safety compliance

Liaising with the club board of directors and club stakeholders

Supporting the team with administration and operational tasks, end of shift reporting and analysis

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in a hospitality management role (restaurant, bar, hotel)

Strong leadership, communication & people management skills

Calm under pressure, great with people, and highly organised

Strong working knowledge of point-of-sale systems (e.g. Square)

Experience using Deputy or similar rostering platforms

Solid computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and email communication

Competent using various media platforms, apps, software programs

Skilled in stock control, ordering, and supplier management

Understanding of financial reports and capable of analysis

Skilled in wage and stock cost controls and meeting KPI’s

Comfortable working hands on in a fast paced, high-volume environment

Flexible availability, including evening, weekends and holiday periods

RSA certified
