Youth Development Officer
Level 3 - $59,360.90 - $99,147.86 per annum (incl $20,000 Port Hedland Allowance)
Full-Time, Permanent Role
The Role
As the Youth Development Officer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering innovative youth programs, seeking funding and create strong external partnerships across the Town's community facilities. This position reports to the Youth Services Supervisor and works closely with the Youth and Community Development team members to ensure effective programs are delivered and well communicated.
This exciting opportunity provides the ability to make a significant difference in the lives of young people. You will need the ability to multi-task and make decisions quickly and respond to the needs of a dynamic youth service. You will be interfacing with everyone from members of the public and the internal team, to employers and external stakeholders.
You will be joining the team at an exciting time as the Town embarks on a culture of change with embracing of a wide range of new technologies, a large capital works program, and several other projects that make the Town a desirable place to live and work.

Work Related Requirements
The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:
- Demonstrated ability in the successful development and implementation of youth programs and activities.
- Experience in seeking and applying for grants and funding.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Sound administrative and time management skills
- National Police Clearance.
- Current 'C' class driver's license.
- Rights to work in Australia.
- Working with Children check (or willing to obtain)
- First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain)
