Research & Project Officer – Esus Centre (Part-time, fixed term)

Location: Subiaco, Western Australia
Hours: 25 hrs/week (with flexibility for increased hours during project phases)
Duration: 12 months (fixed term)

Reporting to: Medical Director & Director of Therapy

About the role

Join the Esus Centre to help establish research and evaluation frameworks across our day-hospital programs. Your responsibilities will include:

Finalising and submitting ethics approval application for the organisation’s Quality Improvement evaluations.

Supporting the Centre’s launch of a not-for-profit research & training arm.

Collating and analysing outcome measures from the first 18 months of program data.

Improving frameworks for future evaluation of outcomes across hospital and outpatient programs.

Leading engagements with clinicians and staff to ensure project milestones are met.

Implementing statistical analysis using SPSS (or similar software).

Demonstrating strong initiative, organisation, and follow-through in a multidisciplinary environment.

This role suits individuals with a primary degree who are on a gap year (e.g., studying for the GAMSAT), taking time to contemplate further study, or enrolled in part-time postgraduate coursework.

What you'll bring

Bachelor's qualification (e.g., Health, Science, Psychology, Public Health).

Hands-on experience with SPSS (or R/Stata)—data cleaning, basic stats, reporting.

Exceptional organisational skills and self-motivation.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Proven ability to coordinate projects and maintain project momentum.

Estimated hourly rate
