The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for an organised individual to perform and lead the delivery of pool operations, supervision, programming and customer service at Bega War Memorial Pool (seasonal) and Council managed facilities (as required), according to BVSC requirements.

As a Pool Team Leader, you will liaise with Operations Team Leader regarding BVSC facility maintenance, operations, equipment and water quality requirements and perform pre and post season commissioning/decommissioning, operations, maintenance, and cleaning of aquatic facilities and equipment. You will also assist in supervising and implementing training and induction of staff working at BVSC aquatic facility/s.

About You

We are seeking an individual who holds a Certificate IV in Sports, Aquatics & Recreation and has a minimum four (4) years’ experience in the aquatic industry (indicative).

You will have the following skills and experience;

• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including the ability to liaise effectively with customers.
• Demonstrated experience in aquatic facility customer service, administration and supervision.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the safe operation, cleaning and maintenance of aquatic facilities.
• Ability to provide appropriate pool supervision, first aid and emergency assistance for safe facility operation.

Benefits

This is a fixed term, full time position working 38 hours per week for a period of two (2) years.

The total remuneration package for this position commences at $91,588.46 gross per annum, comprising of:

• $$1,572.60 per week base salary
• $188.71 per week superannuation (calculated at 12%)
