About the Opportunity

To help us achieve this, we seek a dedicated Telemetry Instrumentation Electrician whose primary focus will be preventative and corrective maintenance and installation of Telemetry instrumentation at Water, Wastewater and other Council facilities to ensure the continued reliability of electronic instrumentation, other processes and automation systems.
To succeed in this role you will have:
- Cert III in Electrotechnology Electrician and a current Qualified Supervisor Certificate - Electrical.
- Cert lll in Instrumentation and Control or willingness to obtain within two years of commencement.
- Demonstrated experience in the installation and integration of electrical instrumentation.
- Demonstrated experienced in fault-finding, preventative and corrective maintenance support and installation of instrumentation, switchboards and Telemetry equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively unaccompanied or in a team, contributing positively to team operations, safety and working relationships.
- Developed high level organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Developed computer skills using industry related software applications.
On a typical day this role will:
- Conduct specialist diagnostics to fault finding, preventative and corrective maintenance of Telemetry Instrumentation installations.
- Installation, calibration and commissioning of new Telemetry projects and upgrades to relevant industry standards, council standards, allocated budget and project schedule.
- Complete Telemetry instrumentation based projects to meet operational and maintenance programs in accordance with schedule and budget
- Provide technical advice and support for installation, maintenance and repair of instrumentation, switchboards and other Telemetry equipment.
Remuneration and Benefits
Employment type: Permanent, full-time role (38 hours per week with 9-day fortnight)
Salary (exclusive of super): Starting salary of $70,805 per annum with the opportunity for competency-based progression.
Allowances: Adverse Working Level 1, Tool Allowance & On Call Allowance
Vehicle: This role also qualifies for a Tool of Trade Vehicle
