About the Opportunity

To help us achieve this, we seek a dedicated Telemetry Systems Electrician whose primary focus will be developing and continually improving the PLC programming used at Council's Water, Wastewater and other facilities. The successful applicant will also conduct preventative and corrective maintenance of PLC and SCADA systems, while assisting with efficiently and effectively delivering new projects and upgrades.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Cert III in Electrotechnology Electrician and a current Qualified Supervisor Certificate - Electrical.
- Demonstrated experience in the development and management of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programs.
- Demonstrated experienced in fault-finding, preventative and corrective maintenance support and installation of switchboards, PLCs, RTUs and Telemetry equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively unaccompanied or in a team, contributing positively to team operations, safety and working relationships.
- Developed high level organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Developed computer skills using industry related software applications.
On a typical day this role will:
- Review, develop, amend and manage PLC programs to meet requirements of PMHC asset owners.
- Install and commission Telemetry equipment and implement upgrades to relevant industry standards.
- Complete Telemetry PLC based projects to meet operational and maintenance programs in accordance with schedule and budget
- Provide technical advice and support for installation, maintenance and repair of switchboards, PLCs, RTUs and other Telemetry equipment.
- Fault finding and diagnosis of equipment and program failures within telemetry equipment across council assets.
Remuneration and Benefits
Employment type: Permanent, full-time role (38 hours per week with 9-day fortnight)
Salary (exclusive of super): Starting salary of $70,805 per annum with the opportunity for competency-based progression.
Allowances: Adverse Working Level 1, Tool Allowance & On Call Allowance
Vehicle: This role also qualifies for a Tool of Trade Vehicle
