About the Role
An opportunity exists for a Fitter Machinist to join our team in Kewdale, WA. The facility offers excellent long term employment supplying to a stable industry and for team players who are interested in building a career path. We are a responsible employer with a focus on safety and quality of work and have a large group of long term employees. We encourage multiskilling and will provide crane, fork and first aid training as a first step. Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Work with a productive and highly successful team
Machine and Fit components into assemblies to high quality standards
Multitask within multi machine environment
Assist engineering team with new designs and appropriate feedbacks
Fitting tasks involve manual lifting
About you
Be prompt, reliable and work unsupervised after training
Personal dedication in producing work to a high level of quality
Honesty and Integrity
Trade Qualified
Attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment
Positive can-do attitude and reliable employment history
Skills and Experience
Must have minimum 2 years of Fitter/Machinist experience in Mig Welding
Hands on experience of manual machines like Saw, Lathe, Milling, Drilling and pneumatic/electrical hand tools essential.
Welding experience preferred but not essential.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work to the instructions.
Ability to use measuring instruments
Heavy component fitting and machining experience preferred but not essential
Experience of operating forklift and overhead crane preferred but not essential. Training will be provided to successful candidate
