SPE Civil Pty Ltd is an industry leading plumbing company with over 21 years experience working with some of Australia's most successful builders and construction companies.

We offer a range of plumbing services including civil works, plumbing and infrastructure e.g. storm water easements, water main connections and sewer main connections.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated experienced Pipelayer/Drainer and Apprentices to join our team.

To be successful in this role you must:

• Have a NSW drivers license (able to drive manual)
• Be Reliable and Punctual
• Neatly Presented
• Honest and Hard working
• Be able to work independently
• Have attention to detail and be able to problem solve.

Qualified Pipelayers must also have:

• Be able to read civil, stormwater and hydraulic plans
• Ability to operate a spinning and pipe laser
• Experience with grades and levels for pit and pipe placement
• Experience in laying concrete stormwater pipes
• Experience in installing precast pits
• Experience in being able to construct in-situ storm water pits (incl. lintels and grates)
• Experience in operating excavators is a bonus
• Experience in driving trucks is a bonus

This position would appeal to someone that is able to demonstrate a high level of understanding on all aspects mentioned above.

A vehicle and phone will be given to the right candidate.

The Role

The role is demanding but very rewarding as you have the opportunity to gain second to none industry experience. The successful applicant will be working alongside qualified plumbers, engineers and other civil industry workers to gain invaluable experience and on the job learning. Some of the tasks and responsibilities that the applicant will be exposed to include but are not limited to:

• All aspects of completing stormwater projects end to end
• Reading and interpreting plans
• Project Management
• Communication between clients and contractors
• Material procurement from suppliers
• Following Safety Procedures
• Sydney Water Work e.g. sewer and water main connections
• Storm water easements
• Plumbing inspections
• Operating excavators
• Restoration procedures e.g. asphalting and concreting

If successful in the position you will be offered a three month trial. After the three month trial a review will be conducted to discuss any changes.
