About the Role:
You are a key driver for our sustainable growth within the retail channel/s in the Melbourne market.
Responsible for the achievement of the annual financial sales and profitability KPI’s for the designated sales territory within the Major Appliance business unit.
The Retail Account Manager will be responsible to build and manage individual store business plans to deliver the sales KPI’s for their territory. Pivotal to the role includes effective channel communication, driving sales and marketing promotional plans, increasing product range assortment, executing training programs to increase sell through, implement effective merchandising strategies and business reporting.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure the Smeg brand representation at store level is best in class.
Communicate and execute the Smeg retail channel sales and marketing programs to all business leads and floor salespeople.
Manage a designated grouping of retail accounts and ensure call cycles and account servicing is appropriate to meet sales budgets.
Construct retail call objectives in advance to define a clear direction and goal for each sales call.
Responsible to ensure all retail core range models are on display and merchandised to the Smeg brand guidelines
Manage the product lifecycle and ensure all end-of-life models are cleared from retail stores by required clearance time frames.
Launch new product effectively and ensuring all new models are on display and merchandised correctly by the due launch date.
Responsible for the instore display execution to deliver best in class consumer experience
Identify and construct training programs tailored to meet the requirements of each store and floor salesperson. Plan and deliver in store training to increase Smeg sales.
Drive engagement of the Smeg Learning platform as an additional product training resource.
Conduct Smeg agency stocktakes
Conduct regular business reviews with Business owners, Franchisee’s and Store Managers.
Build strong relationships with the key customer at all levels within the business
Manage all retail store credit claims and product returns.
Key Performance Measures:
Achievement of the monthly, quarterly and annual sales revenue budget
Achievement of the profitability KPI’s
Market Share by category and subcategory
Role Requirements:
Minimum 5 Years’ Experience in a sales role
Professional, analytical and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills essential to build relationships within the Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance and Operations teams with an understanding of their financial operational impacts.
Ability to analyse data to develop insights and develop growth business plans
Ability to problem solve and implement resolutions.
Effective time management skills
Ability to work autonomously
Minimum intermediate level of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint programs
Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
