About the role

Yarra Ranges Council is seeking a casual Immunisation Nurse to join our team. As an Immunisation Nurse, you will deliver immunisation services to children, infants and adolescents in our community. This casual role supports all medical aspects of our immunisation sessions, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of vaccinations.

In this role you will:

Providing education and information to individuals and families about vaccinations, including potential side effects and benefits.

Maintaining accurate records of vaccinations administered and ensuring compliance with data reporting requirements.

Participating in training and professional development activities to stay updated on immunisation best practices and guidelines.

Adhering to infection control protocols and maintaining a safe and hygienic environment during immunisation sessions.

Hourly rate of $68.62 per hour, plus $1.18 Hospital Certificate allowance per hour plus superannuation.

What you’ll bring to our team

Current registration as a Nurse (Div 1) with a Victorian recognised certificate in accreditation for administering vaccination.

Current immunisation specific CPR certificate or willingness to obtain.

Strong clinical skills, commitment to patient safety, and the ability to assess and respond to medical emergencies.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with families from diverse backgrounds.

Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
