About the role:
This is a fixed-term Project Manager position up to June 2027, responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects efficiently and effectively. They coordinate internal teams and external stakeholders, manage timelines, budgets, and resources, and ensure that project goals align with business objectives. Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills are essential.
Responsibilities of the role:
Project Leadership and Implementation
- Lead day-to-day planning, coordination and delivery of all project components.
- Manage the Smartsheet dashboard and track progress against milestones and deliverables.
- Coordinate recruitment and onboarding of project participants in collaboration with HR and support staff.
- Facilitate training, induction, and buddy systems for each participant cohort.
- Work closely with the Psychologist and external service providers to ensure wrap-around support is delivered.
- Liaise with RTOs for training delivery and participant support.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with project stakeholders including participants, mentors, internal staff, community organisations, and training providers.
- Deliver presentations and reports to the Steering Committee and Executive team.
- Manage internal and external communications, including updates to staff, newsletters, community sessions, and website/socials in collaboration with the Communications Officer.
Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting
- Ensure all data collection, documentation and evaluation activities are completed in line with the M&E framework. - Prepare reports for the funding body, internal stakeholders, and Steering Committee (monthly, quarterly, mid-point, and final). - Lead continuous improvement and quality assurance processes throughout the project.
Governance and Risk Management
- Report on risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies. - Ensure project compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and agreements (e.g. Aged Care Act, Fair Work Act, organisational policies). - Maintain a formal change management process and log, submitting significant changes to the Steering Committee for approval.
About you:
Essential qualifications and experience
- Proven experience in managing community, employment, or inclusion-focused projects, preferably in health, aged care, or social services.
- Experience in leading monitoring and evaluation activities and reporting to funding bodies.
- Understanding of inclusive employment, mental health, or social support principles.
Desirable qualifications and experience
- Experience working with regional communities or in aged/community care.
- Qualifications in project management, social work, community development, or related fields.
- Knowledge of vocational training and RTO compliance processes.
Core competencies
- Demonstrated ability to deliver multi-stakeholder projects on time and on budget.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders including vulnerable participants.
- High-level organisational, administrative, and ICT skills (including Smartsheet, Microsoft Office, CRM/data platforms).
Special conditions
Some out of hour's duties may be required from time to time.
