Community Support Worker | Wollongong - Berry Region NSW
We're seeking a passionate Community Support Worker to join our team on a Casual basis and make a real impact across the Wollongong - Berry Region NSW. If you're ready to create positive change every day, this could be the perfect role for you!
π‘ A Day in the Life:
- Personal Care: Assisting with hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, and feeding.
- Domestic Assistance: Cleaning, laundry, meal prep, light gardening, and home organisation.
- Social & Emotional Support: Facilitating connections through activities and technology.
- Transport: Accompanying clients to appointments, shopping, and community events.
π₯ What We Offer:
- Salary: $42.51/hr (inclusive of 25% Casual Loading) + 12% super
- Perks: 99c/km travel reimbursement, phone/tools provided
- Support & Growth: Rostering/admin support, 9 weeks paid parental leave, and training & career development opportunities
π About You:
- Cert III/IV in Individual Support or Aged Care (with transcript)
- Experience in community or residential care, including domestic support
- Current First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver's licence + insured vehicle
- Willing to travel up to 45 - 60 mins to clients
- Fully COVID-19 vaccinated (highly desirable)
π Important Details:
- Successful candidates will Initially work 20-30 hours per fortnight, with potential to increase hours.
- Shifts between 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (hours flexible) and minimum 3 weekdays/week availability (preferred)
- Availability for alternating weekends is highly desirable but not mandatory.
Successful applicants must complete a criminal history check and show proof of work rights in Australia.
