Irrigation Technician

What You’ll Be Doing
In this hands-on role, your day-to-day will include:

Installing, servicing and maintaining irrigation systems, including sprinklers, solenoids, and pipework, in line with industry best practices.

Diagnosing faults, performing repairs, and resolving irrigation issues to keep systems running efficiently.

Programming and monitoring reticulation controllers with attention to sustainable water use and public amenity.

Interacting professionally with members of the community while out in the field.

Maintaining tools, vehicles, and equipment in a clean, safe, and serviceable condition.

Assisting with general maintenance tasks as needed.

Completing accurate and timely records, both digital and manual.

Collaborating with the wider team to meet service goals and deliver quality outcomes.

Skills & Knowledge

A solid understanding of irrigation systems and maintenance procedures.

Strong communication skills and a commitment to good customer service.

The ability to work independently and take initiative on tasks.

A collaborative mindset and a proactive, problem-solving approach.

Experience

Practical experience in irrigation installation, servicing, and troubleshooting.

Experience applying basic traffic management principles on-site.

Qualifications & Licences

Certificate III in Irrigation Technology, IAL Certification (Operator/Installer), or equivalent practical experience.

Current Driver’s Licence.
