Level 3 SCHADS Industry Award role, this is a part-time role based in West Perth starting at three days/week, with expectations of increased hours around events.
About us and the position.
Join this fast-growing Not-For-Profit organisation that is providing skills to young people to help them not only improve their mental health but also aims to prevent suicide in the community. This role directly impacts our work with hundreds of young Western Australians every year.
The Events Coordinator will play a crucial role in delivering events and fundraising initiatives for zero2hero. The role will primarily be responsible for supporting the delivery of all zero2hero events.
In addition, the Events Coordinator supports and assists the Events Manager and Department.
The successful candidate will have well-rounded events experience and thrives in a fast-paced work environment. This role requires someone with a proven track record in event coordination and project logistics, as well as strong relationship and network building skills.
Additionally, the Events Coordinator must have strong verbal and written communication skills, experience in supporting stakeholder relationships, budget processes and a demonstrated experience in fundraising.

Some of the key responsibilities:
Support Events Manager in the planning and execution of all zero2hero events and internal fundraisers, with a focus on event administration, website e-commerce and communications.
Coordination of auctions and raffles for zero2hero events.
Coordination of volunteers for zero2hero events.
Assist Partnerships Manager and Event Manager with third party fundraisers, including event communications, tech support to third party, administration and event logistics.
About you:
We are looking for a task-focused and detail-oriented Hero, who always ensures tasks are seen through to completion. A creative and strategic thinker, who can innovate and understand your contribution to the success of the organisation. A flexible Hero who can adapt to changes easily.
We are looking for a Hero who is passionate about supporting the education and empowerment of young people in mental health and wellness.
What You’ll Bring:
2+ years of event management experience
Experience scoping, budgeting, and evaluating fundraising programs and/or events
A current Working with Children Check & driver’s license
A satisfactory Police Check, which we may request you renew at any time.
A knack for juggling moving parts without dropping the people part
A nice to have:
Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Communications/Marketing, Diploma of Event Management, or Diploma of Project Management, or similar relevant qualification.
