Place Score is looking for a capable and skilled Developer to help us build new features, scale our SaaS platform, and strengthen our system architecture. You’ll join a growing dev team working on both internal tools and client-facing platforms that empower communities and inform better city planning. Your experience with JavaScript, Node.js, HTML and SQL will be crucial as we expand - and you’ll have the opportunity to step into mentoring and eventually leadership as you grow with us.

As a Developer, you’ll join our agile, collaborative team at a time of real momentum, with plenty of opportunity to influence how we scale our technology and expand our impact.

What you’ll do:

Design and build new features for our SaaS platform

Optimise and scale our system architecture for improved performance and reliability

Collaborate on internal tools, client-facing platforms, and data visualisation tools

Work closely with designers, researchers, and product to create thoughtful and meaningful user experiences

Contribute to technical decision-making and help shape future best practices

You bring:

3-5 years of solid experience in software development

Strong experience with JavaScript, HTML, Node.js, and SQL

Confidence writing clean, maintainable code and working in an agile environment

A detail-oriented mindset and a love for solving complex technical challenges

A calm and curious approach to coding and collaboration

A proactive, can-do attitude and focused approach to development

Bonus points for experience with PHP, Vue.js, SVG, GraphQL or R

Package:

$110K–$120K AUD base salary plus super

Flexible work arrangements (up to 2 days WFH per week)
