Men's Domestic and Family Violence Counsellor | Family Relationship Centre / Maroochydore

Employment Term: Part-time (45 hours per fortnight), Maximum Term to 30th June 2026

Location: Maroochydore

Remuneration: $97k + Super + $15,900 NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)

Please note this is a Maximum Term role offering 45 hours per fortnight based out of our Maroochydore.

Your part in our UnitingCare team

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Men’s Domestic and Family Violence Facilitator and Counsellor who has exceptional skills and knowledge in the area of Domestic and Family Violence to join our Sunshine Coast Team. The role will include:

Working individually with men for the purpose of a pre group assessment, case reviews/conferences, group facilitation on the Sunshine Coast.

Coordinate with other relevant agencies and services to ensure that a safe, holistic and integrated service is offered to families.

Prepare written oral reports

Requests for client information from other involved agencies.

Advocate for clients, provide relevant referrals and liaise with other agencies when appropriate.

Develop and maintain networks with other relevant support and referral agencies.

Maintain ongoing professional development and supervision.

Maintain client information systems and data.

What makes a difference for us?

Tertiary qualification (minimum Bachelor) in a relevant human services field

Exceptional skills and knowledge in the area of Domestic and Family Violence

Significant knowledge and skilled application of frameworks and practice models which encourage attitudinal and behavioural changes

Ability to work therapeutically with adults experiencing complex issues from a broad range of intellectual abilities, motivational levels, health profiles and cultural and socio-economic backgrounds

Experience in facilitating relevant group work

Experience working with mandated or potentially resistant clients preferred but not essential

Substantial experience working with children and families

Experience in the area of child protection is preferred but not essential

Blue Card for Child Related Employment

Current Drivers Licence

Registration or eligible membership with an appropriate professional body (e.g., AASW; APS; PACFA Member Association) will be highly regarded
