Client Details

Our client is a small to medium sized civil and earthmoving contractor with strong growth plans and excellent client relationships. With a well-established corporate and on-site safety function, they have a need for a senior leader to mentor and guide site leadership teams while working closely with the Executive team to ensure a high level of service to customers and outstanding safety performance.

Description

• Develop, implement, and maintain HSEQ policies and procedures in line with industry standards and regulations.
• Guide the implementation and management of a new safety system
• Provide leadership and support to operational teams on HSEQ matters.
• Be a key point of contact for site leaders to address HSEQ concerns and performance
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Profile

The successful candidate will have:

• Qualifications in occupational health and safety at a minimum of diploma level.
• Strong experience in HSEQ performance in the Civil and Earthmoving contracting sector
• A highly developed commercial acumen, with a strong focus on balancing risk with commercial performance
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to engage with both corporate, customer and site-based stakeholders
• A results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
