About the role

This full-time Networking Infrastructure Service Technician role at Jortel Communications' in Dubbo, NSW presents an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative technology company. In this position, you will be responsible for providing hands-on technical support and maintenance for clients IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of critical systems and applications.

What you'll be doing

Physical restoration of hardware failures on servers and associated devices such as Power Cycle, Power Cable failure etc.

Remote hands support in the investigation and restoration of hardware failures on network equipment and associated devices/subcomponents.

Audit support for asset management including physical inventory changes like cabling etc..

Hardware changes to existing servers and associated equipment.

Remote-hands network hardware changes to existing network devices and associate equipment;

Installation (Rack & Stack) of new individual servers and associated hardware into the data center environment.

Completion of network cabling (Patching or Cable Runs) of associated with new deployments, moves or device decommissions.

Rack & stack of new network equipment into the data center environment.

Prevention of human error related outages through process improvement and compliance.

What we're looking for

Relevant diploma or degree in Networking or a related field

Open Cabler Registration Licence

2+ years of experience in an IT support or technician role, preferably in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including servers, networks, and software applications

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently

Strong communication and customer service skills to effectively liaise with end-users

Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and a willingness to continue learning new technologies
