About the Role:

As a Senior Manager/Manager based in Brisbane CBD, you’ll lead a dynamic team and manage a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering high-level accounting and advisory services. This role is perfect for someone who’s confident taking the reins, thrives on responsibility, and knows how to bring people together to deliver real results. You’ll oversee complex engagements, drive strategic client relationships, and support the development of the next generation of talent.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation and review of financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
• Manage and grow client relationships, ensuring clear communication and consistent, high-quality service.
• Deliver business and tax advisory services that create real value for clients.
• Supervise, coach, and develop junior and mid-level staff, supporting technical training and career growth.
• Oversee compliance for BAS, IAS, GST, FBT, Div 7a and ensure clients stay ahead of regulatory requirements.
• Support and guide audit processes, including preparation and client liaison.
• Stay informed on changes in legislation, market conditions, and industry best practices to inform your team and clients.

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in public practice, with proven leadership in a client-facing role.
• CA or CPA qualification (or close to completion).
• Deep understanding of Australian taxation and accounting standards.
• Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
• Track record of managing complex portfolios and leading teams to meet deadlines and exceed expectations.
• Proficiency in accounting platforms such as Xero, MYOB, or similar.
• Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and commitment to contributing to a positive, high-performing culture.
