The Catering Manager is responsible for leadership and management of their respective Business Division ensuring efficient and timely production of goods and services while maintaining high quality standards.
The Catering Manager is responsible for planning and organizing production schedules, managing resources, materials, and equipment, and implementing strategies to optimize productivity and minimize costs.
You will be responsible for the following duties.
· Develop and manage production schedules and allocate resources effectively to ensure that production targets are met.
· Continuously evaluate production processes to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvement.
· Implement quality control measures, conduct regular inspections, and address any issues that may affect product or service quality.
· Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures to minimize workplace accidents and hazards.
· Oversee maintenance activities for equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
· Lead and mentor the catering team, providing guidance and support to achieve organizational goals, and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
· Continual development of catering offerings, keeping with current trends and industry standards.
· Ensuring the CEO and ELT are briefed on impacting industry and regulatory changes.
To be successful for this role you will be required to complete or possess the following.
· An NDIS Clearance Check and WWCC (Depending Commercial Customer Requirement)
· A relevant tertiary qualification in a related discipline
· Ideal: Cert III in disability or community support or equivalent experience
· Excellent stakeholder management skills
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Previous production management and team leadership experience
· High attention to detail
· Sound experience in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Teams and ERP software
· Customer Service orientation
· Excellent planning, organising and negotiation skills
· Continuous improvement mindset utilising lean principles and other best practices
· Previous commercial kitchen experience
