APRA AMCOS is a member-owned music rights management organisation, positioned at the intersection of music, data and technology. We have more than 124,000 members who are songwriters, composers and music publishers. We license organisations to play, perform, copy or record our members’ music, and we distribute the royalties to our members.

We are seeking a new Copyright Ownership Administrator to join the Quality Assurance team in the Repertoire department based in the Sydney Office. The Repertoire department plays an important part in facilitating APRA AMCOS’ core service of royalty distributions to members and affiliate societies. Liaising closely with your colleagues in Publisher Services and licensing teams, you will be using musical work registrations and agreement information plus international databases and research tools to add and maintain accurate work ownership information for licensing purposes and for accurate, efficient distributions of APRA AMCOS royalties.

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

A good knowledge of APRA AMCOS’ business

A good understanding of copyright for musical works (highly desirable)

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Attention to detail and a methodical approach

Confidence in MS Office (intermediate MS Excel highly desirable)

Strong research skills - especially the effective and efficient use of search engines, online resources, and databases

Good written and verbal communication skills

The ability to work autonomously and effectively manage workload while also being a supportive team player

Strong music knowledge across multiple genres

Strong numeracy
