POSITIONS VACANT - Seeking disability support worker for NDIS Participants with complex needs.

RSA has staff in multiple group homes managed by MID Support in the Maitland area and provide 24-hour support making a variety of different shifts available, including mornings, afternoons, active nights, sleepovers and weekends. We can look to work within the hours you have available if you can make yourself available 4 days per week or more.

Participate in activities in the community while supporting participants to achieve their goals.

We have participants with complex / behaviour support needs requiring care for their individual needs. As a disability support worker, you will require experience working with people with challenging behaviours / physical needs / general support. Your tasks may include but limited to the following:

- Home / domestic care
- Personal Care
- Behaviour Management
- Medication
- Assisting our participants to access the community and social programs

What we are looking for:-

- Qualification and/or experience with supporting activities of daily living including personal care, manual handling and medications

- Reliable applicants who have experience supporting people with challenging behaviours and want to work as a team

What you will need to succeed:-

- A genuine desire to provide quality care and enhance the lives of our participants

- Excellent communication skills and a smart phone to access the internet for rosters and progress notes

- A current drivers’ licence + NSW driving record and comprehensively insured vehicle to transport people when required

- NDIS Worker Screening Check

- Hold a current First Aid certificate

- Willing to do shift work including emergency / on call work where required

- COVID19 Vaccination
