THE OPPORTUNITY

Salary: $78,564 - $111,391 per annum pro rata + 11.5% super + leave loading (dependent on qualifications and experience).
Position Status: Contract of employment 21 July until 19 September 2025.
Time Fraction: Part-Time, 0.8 EFT.
Location: Waverley campus - onsite parking and close proximity to public transport.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced teaching practitioner to deliver the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment within our Department of Early Childhood and Education. This is a short term contract covering a staff member taking on higher duties for Term 3.

This role involves guiding and supporting students to successfully complete the qualification, with a strong focus on providing formal and informal feedback to enhance their teaching skills.

ABOUT YOU

• Extensive teaching experience in the vocational sector, preferred delivery of the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
• Experienced in applying adult teaching principles and strategies that support successful learner outcomes and inclusive educational practices.
• Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of VET sector governance, compliance, and industry standards, with a commitment to promoting diversity in the workplace and learning environment.
• Skilled in effective online teaching strategies, proficient in learning management systems, and experienced in developing engaging digital learning resources.

• Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check and on obtaining a National Police Check.
• Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (TAE50116), or Diploma of Training Design and Development (TAE50211, TAE50216, or their successors), along with a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent predecessor or successor qualifications).
