Draftsperson – Documentation & Project Coordination

Full Time | Hawthorn Studio

We’re looking for an experienced Draftsperson to join our landscape architecture studio, working across premium residential projects throughout Melbourne and interstate.

This role sits at the intersection of technical drafting and project coordination. You’ll be responsible for producing detailed documentation in AutoCAD and supporting the delivery of projects from concept to completion. You’ll also play a hands-on role in coordinating consultants, managing timelines, and maintaining communication with clients and builders during delivery.

Key responsibilities:

Prepare high-quality documentation and drawing sets in AutoCAD

Translate design intent into clear and accurate construction detail

Coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers, and site teams

Oversee project timelines, documentation flow, and general coordination

Support senior designers with administration of the delivery phase

About you:

Minimum 5 years’ drafting experience (landscape or architectural)

Expert in AutoCAD and familiar with local construction standards

Confident communicator with client-facing experience

Highly organised and capable of managing multiple live projects

Proactive, solutions-focused, and detail-oriented
