Specialised Laboratory Technician

We are currently looking for a Specialised Laboratory Technician to join our team at our Boviteq Blue Box location in Maddingley, VIC.

In this role, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for the positive and professional relationships Semex & Boviteq have built with our global customers, breeders, distributors, and partners.

The specialized laboratory technician, while performing the role of production technician, facilitates onboarding and training. They will support production through scheduling, troubleshooting day-to-day activities, and ensuring certain quality control standards are being met.

What you will do:

Participate actively in the embryo production process.

Coordinate and communicate production plans to ensure smooth operations.

Analyze and escalate laboratory observations to align with production objectives and quality standards.

Act as a trainer by effectively transferring knowledge to team members.

Promote productivity through positive reinforcement and constructive feedback.

Overall supervision of laboratory operations and staff

Provide guidance and direction in the management of production objectives, prioritization, and non-compliance

Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, SOPs, KPIs, budgets, and schedules

Analyze and communicate the lab activity monthly reports

What you need to be successful:

Associate’s degree in Biotechnology or a related field, or a Bachelor’s degree in a science-related discipline

Minimum of 2 years of experience in an IVF production laboratory

Strong organizational skills

Excellent problem-solving abilities

Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to educate team members or clients
